Carrie Bickmore just announced she is returning to The Project on July 8.
The host shared the special news with her Instagram followers on Sunday.
“After 8 months off The Project I am heading back to the desk July 8. 😊” said Carrie, 38, who took time out from the show to care for her new baby, Adelaide, who was born on December 9 last year.
The mum-of-three shares her 6-month-old daughter with her partner Chris Walker.
The couple also have a daughter, Evie, 4, together, and Carrie is mum to Oliver, 11, whose dad, Carrie’s husband Greg Lange, passed away in 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer.
“So many emotions going on,” Carrie continued in her post.
“Excitement to see the gang and be back doing what I love but sad to miss the madness that is after school/dinner time (my friends think I am lucky🤣) and nervous to see how Addie will go without me around 24/7 (she’ll probably be fine!! -it’ll be me that will carry around the pang in my tummy)
“Thanks to my work family and my family family for supporting this working mama. I know how I lucky I am. See you all in your lounge rooms soon! ❤️” she said.
Carrie has been a presenter on The Project since the Channel Ten show debuted in 2009 as The 7pm Project.
She also hosts the Carrie and Tommy radio show on the Hit Network with her co-host Tommy Little.
The Gold Logie winner returned to presenting her radio show just two months after daughter Adelaide’s birth.
It was the ultimate working from home set up, with the show broadcast from Carrie’s granny flat in her garden so she could continue to be close to her little girl.
Carrie recently opened up about how she almost died after she gave birth to her firstborn Oliver.
The trauma of his birth meant she later saw a psychologist while pregnant with her daughter Evie.
“I saw psychologists when I was pregnant with Evie as I had this real fear of giving birth to Evie because I nearly died after I gave birth to Ollie,” she shared in an interview for The Weekly.
Carrie has always been candid about her struggles.
The radio host spoke up about how she received counselling to prepare for Evie’s birth on her Hit Network radio show in 2017.
“Giving birth is a full-on thing, it’s beautiful, it’s special, but it’s also traumatic,’ she said. ‘It’s painful, I would have done anything to have the experience erased from my mind.”
