Since announcing he is taking a step back from the camera to spend more time with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and children, daughter India and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, Thor’s Chris Hemsworth is wasting no time doing just that.

Taking to Instagram, the 39-year-old shared a short clip of a sweet father-son moment with one of his boys as they jointly skateboarded down a quiet road, likely near their Byron Bay home.
In the footage, the skaters rolled down the hill before hi-fiving each other for a job well done.
“Surf went flat, no problem, the boys found some palm tree barrels and spent the day getting shacked,” Chris captioned the video.
Fans were quick to delight in the sweet glimpse into the life of a Hemsworth.
“Such a good dad,” one gushed.
“Shred and spend time with those kids and family and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for doing it! 🤙🏼,” another wrote.
“As a former skater girl, I totally applaud this kind of parenting 🙌🏼 ❤️🛹,” a third penned.
The endearing familial moment comes after Chris announced his intention to take a break from acting due to his recently uncovered predisposition to Alzheimer’s disease.
While filming his new series Limitless, the father-of-three learnt he is eight to ten times more likely than the average individual to develop the condition during a conversation with longevity physician Dr Peter Attia.
“We’ve got every blood test one can get,” Attia explained to Hemsworth in the show. “And you’ve got two copies of APOE4. A set from your mum and a set from your dad.”

APOE4 is the gene that has the strongest correlation to the development of Alzheimer’s disease.
“The idea that I won’t be able to remember the life I experienced, or my wife, my kids, is probably my biggest fear,” the actor candidly explained.
Attia told Chris, whose grandfather suffers from the disease, “It’s my belief that if we take every step possible, we can reduce your risk to that of anyone else.”
In a subsequent interview with Vanity Fair, the Aussie explained that the discovery “triggered something” in him, prompting him to take a step back from the screen.
“Since we finished the show, I’ve been completing the things I was already contracted to do,” he said.
“Now when I finish this tour this week, I’m going home and I’m going to have a good chunk of time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife.”
Chris’ wife Elsa, meanwhile, has just wrapped up her movie, Poker Face alongside her brother-in-law Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe.
