At the time, fans were heartbroken when the larrikin bid an emotional farewell to Angie after learning that his nan had passed away.

It was reported that Ciarran’s father was unable to contact his son at the time of death as he lost Channel 10’s details. As a result, the reality star missed her funeral and tried to stay in the competition. But the grief ultimately became too much and he made the difficult decision to return to the UK to see his family – meaning his chapter with Angie closed.

But his love life was just getting started.

In 2019, a source told the Daily Mail that while grieving his nan, Ciarran was consoled by his ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett, whom he reportedly reconciled with during this turbulent time.

“All Ciarran wanted to do when he found out the news [about his grandmother] was get away from all of the cameras and just be with Renee,” the source alleged.

Renee herself confirmed the claims when both she and Ciarran appeared on Bachelor In Paradise in 2020. And, let’s just say, it was around this time that the public stopped sympathising with the brit.

While in Paradise, Renee revealed that she even picked Ciarran up from the airport after his Bachelorette stint, and that they lived together in Darwin for 18 months before he ended up cheating on his girlfriend with one of his friends.

Suffice to say, the exes’ reunion in BIP was fiery.

Despite the tension, both parties managed to find partners while in Paradise. First besotted by Jessica Brody, the Bachelor alum was quickly given the flick when Kiki Morris entered the show.

When eliminated from the show, Jess told us that she “had the wool pulled over her eyes” and that it “suck(ed)” to “be a pawn in the game”.

He also pursued Cassandra Mamone and Abbie Chatfield while in Paradise, but those connections were short-lived.

But it wasn’t just bachie girls that Ciarran was linked to, with the contentious reality star also briefly dating Big Brother alum Tully Smyth.

“It’s not normal to see your ex go on these super romantic, over the top fantasy dates,” Tully penned in a piece for Mamamia, confirming she and Ciarran used to date.

“To be having picnics in fields of wildflowers or be swooped up in a f**king helicopter and flown to a deserted island when he didn’t even shout you Nandos.

“It’s a bit of a stab in the old’ tum tum isn’t it?”

So, who’s Ciarran Stott currently dating?

Sordid dating history aside, Ciarran has managed to find love with Ruby Burciaga.

The pair went official with their relationship at the end of 2021, sharing photos to their respective Instagrams as December came to a close.

“Life with you is pretty damn good 🖤,” Ciarran gushed in his post.

But their relationship was tested during Ciarran’s stint on The Challenge when the reality star hopped into a shower and fooled around with former Love Island star Audrey Kanongara during the premiere episode.

Speaking on the show to Ruby, Ciarran said: “I am really sorry for what I’ve done. Hopefully you don’t leave me and we stay together.”

It seems the couple may have been able to work through things, as Ciarran is still prominent on Ruby’s Instagram and she even promoted his stint on The Challenge on her stories, seemingly teasing her partner by saying: “You’re sleeping on the couch tonight boy.”

She followed it up by thanking her followers for the messages of support, writing: “It’s been an incredibly tough couple of months and not something I ever imagined I’d go through, especially so publicly. So grateful for each and every one of you.”

Days before the episode aired, Ciarran opened up about his sobriety journey, saying he is working on “healing the mind, body and soul”.

“The biggest mistakes I’ve made in life come when I consume alcohol & drugs. So I decided it was finally time to put a stop to it all. No more drinking! No more drugs! No more of that bullsh-t. I turn into the biggest muppet there is and hurt the people closest to me over and over again.

“I probably should’ve realised this a few years ago but it’s better late than never. It’s a long road ahead to becoming the best version of myself I can be. One for myself and two for my relationship and family. The support from my partner, family and friends is next to none and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you all.”

For now, it seems the couple are still together.
