Just over four months since she made headlines for her rumoured proposal, Married at First Sight’s Ella May Ding has confirmed that she is officially engaged to boyfriend Guy Palmero.
“The man of my actual dreams proposed to me with my friends and family. I love you. I love us. And thank you for choosing me,” Ella announced to Instagram.
“Everything that we have been through led us back to each other, and it was all worth it.”

To the delight of fans, Ella shared heartwarming footage of her proposal, with the couple’s morning run quickly turning into a celebration surrounded by their loved ones.
Following the announcement, friends and family of the couple took to social media to share their excitement.
“Witnessing your love yesterday was a highlight of my life. I love you guys so much,” commented fellow MAFS star Domenica Calarco.
“Awww wow beautiful angels congratulations,” added singer Tones and I.
While some fans may be surprised by the engagement news, Ella previously made headlines in October 2023 after photos shared by the Daily Mail appeared to show her popping the question to Guy at Victoria’s Elwood Bathers.
After setting the rumour mill alight, Ella took to Instagram to set the record straight, revealing that the snaps were part of a tongue-in-cheek paid partnership with Up Banking.
“He said YES! You heard it first Guy has officially moved in! AND I popped the question… to open a 2UP joint bank account with me,” she wrote, earning a hilarious reaction from her followers.
While Ella and Guy have kept their romance largely out of the public eye, the couple first confirmed their relationship on Instagram in April 2023, with Ella sharing a number of heartwarming tributes to her now fiance.
“I am so grateful for all the years of disappointment because I now feel like the luckiest lady on earth and I want to remind you, there is hope! I finally understand for the first time in my life what unconditional love is, and having a best friend in your partner,” Ella wrote previously.
