Who Is Emily Ratajkowski?
Emily Ratajkowski is probably most known for starring in Robin Thicke’s controversial ‘Blurred Lines’ video. However, Em is so much more than just that girl from that video. She’s also a model, actress, designer, and outspoken feminist who isn’t afraid to use her voice and status to shed light on causes important to her.
Em’s Modeling Career
Emily began modelling at fourteen. Like most things in her life, Em’s career took off in a flash – she was discovered, signed, and chosen to do a print ad by Ford Models in one day! As she got older, Emily’s sex appeal landed her more mature roles, including covers and spreads for the erotica magazine treats!
Her career hit an all-time high when she was chosen to star in the ‘Blurred Lines’ music video and, despite the controversy, continued to blossom. As a swimsuit model, she garnered one of 12 coveted “Rookie of the Year” spots on the 2014 edition of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. In 2017, Emily went from the girl who models swimsuits to the girl who designs them with her line, Inamorata. Emily said she designed them to be wearable outside of the pool or beach, telling Vogue she spent a lot of time in Majorca where she saw “women in all shapes and sizes, of all different ages, living in their bathing suits, cooking, eating, laying out, and taking care of their kids [in their swimsuit]. To me, that was the kind of swimsuit I wanted to make and embody”. Vogue called them “very Instagrammable swimsuits”.

Views On Feminism And Controversies
Em is a fierce feminist and advocate for sex-positivity. She controversially spoke up about her difficulties getting work because of her more-than-average sized breasts, claiming it’s “anti-woman”. She revealed that at a young age, she already felt that she was being sexualised by men for having large breasts no matter how old she was, and how much older they were.
She also voiced out her frustrations about being a sex symbol and a feminist, saying “It’s incredibly frustrating that society somehow feels that women can’t manage to be political, feminist, and a sex symbol”.

Who Is Emily Ratajkowski’s Husband?
Sebastian Bear McClard is the son of filmmaker and activist Liza Bear and artist Michael McClard. Following in the footsteps of his parents, Sebastian has also taken a career as an actor and film producer. He worked on films like Good Time and Still Life, and under his production company, Elara Pictures, he produced Heaven Knows What.
Together with close collaborators The Safdie Brothers, Sebastian is producing a Jonah Hill-billed film called Uncut Gems, and a remake of the 48 Hrs – a 1982 film starring Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte.
Sebastian’s Engagement And Marriage To Emily Ratajkowski
Turns out, Sebastian and Emily’s whirlwind romance may not have been so much of a whirlwind. According to US Weekly, the two had known each other for years before their engagement. They were good friends who ran in the same circles, and Emily even joked that Sebastian “vetted” her for two years.
But how did the two get engaged? In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Em spilled the beans on how Sebastian popped the question.
“He proposed to me at Minetta Tavern [in New York City], and he didn’t have a ring. And then he took the paper clip that the bill was paid with and made me a ring”, she said. But even if it was low key, Emily said she found the gesture “really romantic”.
In February, the couple were married at city hall surrounded by their close friends, including Internet sensation The Fat Jew, whom she commissioned as a decoy for the press. Emily and Sebastian wanted to keep everything under wraps, and the couple opted for unconventional wedding attires. Em wore an orange Zara suit while Sebastian donned a grey suit. “It was very ‘heist’ movie,” she said.

Yes, they are! Over a year after their wedding, Emily posted a photo of her bare chest with nothing on but some beautiful jewellery – including the wedding band and engagement rings she designed herself. She also posts about him a lot (he’s a certifiable Instagram Husband!).
