When Harry Styles announced the release date of his sophomore album, Fine Line, he also revealed its eclectic cover: a fun convex photo snapped by Tim Walker. But it isn’t just the whimsy of Tim Walker’s signature style that catches your attention, it’s Harry’s Styles’ clothes. Decked out in white sailor pants and a hot pink silk shirt – all custom Gucci of course – Harry showed us once again that he’s a man of impeccable taste.
But it’s not like he has to prove that he’s a man of style. Over the years, Harry Styles’ fashion evolution has been pretty exciting, to say the least. Not only is he the face of Gucci, he was also one of the co-chairs at the 2019 Met Gala – one of the biggest events in fashion. Harry Styles’ current style is the very definition of ‘trendy camp’, from his floral printed suits to his sparkly Elton John Halloween costume!
We just know Harry’s going to bless us with more looks than we can handle when Fine Line comes out! But before that happens, let’s take a look at some of his best fashion moments.

Harry Styles’ Style Evolution
Harry first shot to fame when he and four others were grouped as a band on The X Factor. Back then, he was a mop-headed teen with a very 2010s sense of style. He wore a cardigan, a skinny scarf, and chunky bracelets on his wrists, plus baggy pants and sneakers – a far cry from the suit-loving king of camp.
As he grew older, Harry began incorporating a more rock n’ roll look, especially during his Four days, where he would often be seen in his rockstar long mane, low-cut shirt revealing his tattooed chest, and skinny jeans. He also traded in Nikes, Vans, and Adidas sneaks for brown Chelsea boots and later, Gucci horsebit boots.
When Harry went solo, his style evolved yet again. This time, magazines started applauding him for defying gender norms by not shying away from colour, florals, lace and ruffles, and even nail polish. This was also the time he started wearing luxury brands like Versace, Saint Laurent, and Gucci. Eventually, Harry became the face of Gucci and well, the rest, as they say, is history.
Harry Styles’ Best Photoshoot Looks
Pretty In Pink: Harry Styles’ Pink Shirt And Black Embroidered Suit From Alexander McQueen
For his first Rolling Stone cover, Harry wore this rock n’ roll ensemble while quoting The Clash’s Paul Simonon by saying, “pink is the only true rock and roll colour”.
Harry Styles In A Brown Jacket… And Not Much Else
In his The Face cover, the singer wears more than a few great looks. Harry Styles’ leather jacket has got to be the best one though – it did make the cover after all.
Gucci God In Plaid Suits
For Gucci’s Men’s ‘Cruise 2019’ Tailoring campaign, Harry Styles’ brown boots and skinny jeans take a backseat in place of plaid Gucci trousers and jackets, floral scarves, and sneakers. Yes, you read that right, Harry Styles in shoes that aren’t boots. Oh, and did we mention he hangs out with a bunch of adorable baby animals?
The campaign also features Harry Styles in a blue shirt with stripes, a teal Gucci suit, and slip-on shoes while keeping a fish and chips bag away from hungry pups.
Harry’s Best Red Carpet Looks
Going Grey In Prada: Harry Styles’ Pants With Tuxedo Stripes
At the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s war film Dunkirk, Harry wore a shark grey suit with tuxedo stripes. While not the best example of Harry Styles’ clothing style of colour, glitter, and camp, he still looked dashing in this subtle look.
The singer did add a pop of colour into his look for the Dunkirk photo-call in France. Here’s Harry Styles in a red shirt and his favourite horsebit Gucci shoes.
Harry’s Sheer Black Camp Look At The Met Gala
As co-chair of the 2019 Met Gala, all eyes were on Harry to dial up the camp – and that he did. The singer wore a lacy sheer top with a bow and black trousers designed by none other than Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele. The fashion genius – who previously worked under Tom Ford – is responsible for revamping Gucci into a modern fashion house and for designing countless suits for Harry.

Harry Styles’ Concert Clothes
For the most part, Harry Styles wears casual clothes on tour. When you’re performing at massive stadiums packed with screaming teens every other night, you need to stay comfy.
As he’s gotten older, Harry Styles’ fashion style at his concerts changed from casual tees and button-up shirts to his signature floral suits. Here are Harry’s best concert looks.
Plaid Lad: Harry Styles’ Pink Pants And Jacket By Calvin Klein
For Harry’s first tour, he wore several custom-made Raf Simons suits, including this stunning pink plaid suit. As The Cut put it, this – and his many other Simons looks – cements his status as a “modern David Bowie”.
Glittering In Gucci: Harry Styles’ Gold Shirt And Purple Suit Combo
On his European tour, Harry wore this custom Gucci suit and shirt covered in glitter in Milan. You know how they say purple and gold represent royalty? It’s fitting as Harry is king of style after all.
More Glitters (This Time In Saint Laurent): Harry Styles’ Black Coat And Pants Of Glitters
While the glimmering jacket and pants are to die for, it’s Harry Styles’ black shirt – a ruffle-necked shirt cut below his chest – that makes this look one of his sexiest.
Diamonds Are Forever: Harry’s Custom Gucci Vintage Red And Blue Suit
With a big bow on Harry Styles’ white shirt and big blue and red diamonds printed all over his jacket and trousers, this look is a classic example of Styles’ proclivity for camp.
Looking Sharp In Givenchy: Harry Styles’ Green Shirt And Powder Green Suit
Harry wore this cool mint green shirt and sharp suit on the Victoria’s Secret runway in 2017.
The Best Of Harry Styles’ Street Style
As mentioned, Harry Styles’ boots – may they be black Chelsea boots, brown suede boots, or Gucci horsebit boots – are part of his signature look, as are Harry Styles’ black jeans. Fair warning, you’ll see a lot of those items here.
Golden Boy Harry Styles In Yellow: Shirts, Jackets, And Boots
Harry isn’t afraid of bright colours. While that’s evident in his concert looks, you can also see that a lot in his casual clothing. Here he is leaving a recording studio in a sunny yellow shirt revealing a white shirt.
And who can forget Harry Styles’ gold boots? During One Direction’s last concert tour, Harry would frequently wear these shiny boots onstage.
Looking Good In Louis Vuitton: Harry Styles’ Jacket In The ‘Drag Me Down’ MV
Though the jacket only appeared in the video for a few seconds, eagle-eyed fans figured out that Harry’s bomber jacket was from Louis Vuitton’s SS16 collection.
The Best Of Harry Styles’ Winter Fashion
Bring On The Burberry: Harry’s Styles’ Coat Made Of Green Suede
Even back in 2014, when Harry was still one-fifth of One Direction, the singer was already showing his proclivity for high fashion. He showed up to the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear show in a green suede Burberry coat, a grey jumper, and his then-signature skinny black jeans. Of course, the look was completed with the classic Harry Styles black boots.
