The former Bachelor was on an assignment as Luxury Escapes co-host in Singapore Airport when he realised he was in the wrong terminal.

“It was one of those stopovers where you kind of get too comfortable,” he told 10 Daily, explaining a staff member approached him to tell him he was actually in the wrong terminal and his flight was about to leave without him.
“I thought to myself, ‘If I miss this flight, then I’m going to miss the birth,'” he said.
“So I was that lunatic in the airport sprinting with my bag flailing behind me, only half my jacket was on and I was the very last person to get on that flight.
“And the moment I stood on that plane, they then shut the door and started taxiing towards takeoff.”
Matty said he has a “terrible” track record for missing flights.
“I always come down to the wire when it comes to planes but that is the closest I’ve come,” he said.
“I thought, ‘You idiot, Matty J.”
But in the end it was all for nothing as Marlie-Mae Rose wasn’t born for another five weeks.
The three-week-old already has her father wrapped around her little finger with his taking to Instagram to show her off any chance her gets.
The pair announced they were expecting in late 2018 after suffering a devastating miscarriage earlier that year.
