Jarrod Woodgate, who placed runner-up on Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette in 2017, before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise the following year has gone public with his new relationship.
The radio host who relocated to the Northern Territory in 2021, took to Instagram to share the exciting announcement, posting a photo of the happy couple in front of a Christmas tree alongside the caption; “Hope everyone got what they wished for this Christmas, because I did ❤️.”
Although he didn’t reveal any more details, he did tag the mystery woman – dance teacher and business owner Kristy Jayne Love.
Jarrod, who spent 12 years in the Australian Army before he was medically discharged, worked on his family’s vineyard in Victoria before making the move to Darwin.
In 2022 he spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle about the personal reasons behind the move.
“I moved up to Darwin to focus on my mental health,” he told the publication. “I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, anxiety and trauma, and my body’s fried from defence time.
“And it takes its toll, it really does. I mean, I’m at the age of 36 and I feel like I’m 80 because of either my mind or my body. It physically can’t do what it should be able to do as a 36-year-old.”
Following his appearance on Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelor, Jarrod appeared on Bachelor in Paradise in 2017, where he met his on-again-off-again girlfriend Keira Maguire.
The couple split for good in late 2019 before Jarrod began a relationship with fellow Bachelor alumni Sam Royce.
Amidst their relationship Jarrod moved from Victoria to the Northern Territory and engagement rumours swirled before Sam announced their separation in July 2022.
