In sad news, Australian actor Julian McMahon has died.
His wife, Kelly McMahon, shared the news on July 5, 2025 (Australia time), telling Deadline:
“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.
“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.

“We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”
Julian, born on July 27, 1968, was the son of former Australian Prime Minister Sir William McMahon and Lady Sonia McMahon.
He began his career in modelling before transitioning to acting in the late 1980s.
His early roles included appearances in Aussie soap operas like The Power, The Passion and Home and Away – where he played Ben Lucini.
Julian gained international recognition with his role as Cole Turner in the iconic television series Charmed.

He further solidified his status in Hollywood by portraying Dr Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck – a performance that earned him a Golden Globe nomination.
His film career included playing the villain Victor Von Doom in Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Later, he starred in FBI: Most Wanted and most recently in the Netflix series, The Resident.
Julian is survived by his wife Kelly, and his daughter Madison Elizabeth McMahon.
