Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has reportedly deferred to Meghan Markle’s sensitivities over the royal family’s love of blood sports, by waiting until the former Suits actress and bride of Prince Harry had left Sandringham before joining in on the hunt.
Kate, pictured here busting off some shots in 2009, is said to love hunting and has even purchased her own gun. But she held back in joining the rest of the family in shooting various wild fowl on the sprawling Sandringham estate until Meghan was well clear of the scene, on Boxing Day.

Despite tabloid reports Meghan had supposedly ‘banned’ her husband Prince Harry from participating in the blood sport, he did join his family in the controversial past time. She is said to have come to terms with the royals’ traditional love of shooting.
Kate is the proud owner of a 20-bore shotgun, and is reported to be a good shot who enjoys hunting birds such as pheasants and grouse.

Kate has never publicly discussed her participation in hunting, which is an increasingly controversial subject for the royal family.
Despite some headlines last year suggesting a feud between the two women, UK reports say they got on well at Sandringham over the Christmas break.
