Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their first child together, a beautiful baby girl.
The US pop star, 35, and British actor, 43, today revealed their happy new family addition and revealed their daughter’s wonderful unique name – Daisy Dove Bloom.
The couple broke the news to the world on Thursday via UNICEF, as both stars are ambassadors for the charity organisation, alongside a message encouraging their fans to donate to the children’s aid group in celebration of their daughter’s arrival.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple’s statement began.
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.
“Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathise with struggling parents now more than ever.
“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival.
“By supporting UNICEF, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your heart can bloom with generosity.

The couple shared the call to action alongside a gorgeous black-and-white photo of their new new baby, as they held her little hand.
Katy and Orlando first met at the Golden Globes in 2016
“We bonded over an In-N-Out burger about three years [ago] at the Golden Globes. He stole one off of my table,” Katy revealed last year.
“He took it, and I was like, ‘Wait! Who — oh, you’re so hot. Fine, take it!’ And then I saw him at a party, and I was like, ‘How are those onions resting on your molars?’ He’s like, ‘I like you.'”
The pair started dating but split briefly in 2017, although they remained friends.
They then rekindled their romance in 2018 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day last year, when Bloom proposed to the Firework hitmaker with a gorgeous flower-shaped pink diamond ring.
“It was Valentine’s Day and I had to work that day,” Katy said of how the surprise engagement went down.
“I just remember meeting him at dinner at this place, this Italian restaurant, because when I get a pass, I just want to stuff my face with pasta.”
“So I get there and, I mean, he’s like clean-shaven. He’s not wearing tennis shoes. I’m like, ‘Ah s—, something is going down!'”
“I got on a helicopter and he asked me to marry him, and then we landed on this building and then went downstairs and my family and friends were there and the most flowers you’ve ever seen.”
But the couple aren’t in any rush to tie the knot.
Orlando says his previous divorce experience with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares a son, Flynn, has taught him to take his time.
“It’s important to me that we are aligned — I’ve been married and divorced and I don’t want to do it again,” Orlando told the US Today Show.
”And we’re both fully aware of that. She’s remarkable and so I’m always so impressed with that and I’m encouraged.”
Katy first announced her pregnancy news in March in the music video for her single Never Worn White.
