A close family friend of the British royal family has given a shocking reason for avoiding a parking fine.
Lady Tamara van Cutsem, sister to Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor, blamed the whole incident on the fact that she has ‘too many cars’, and that she can’t keep track of them all.
Tamara told a North Wales court that she didn’t know who was driving one of her Land Rovers when it was caught speeding along a UK road.
The sibling of the Duke of Westminster claimed she had too many cars and staff to know who was behind the wheel.
“I simply don’t know if I was the driver at the time,” she told a North Wales court.
This isn’t the first time a British royal has been involved in car-related controversy recently.
Prince Philip voluntarily gave up his license after his car crash near Sandringham estate earlier this year.

In January, the noblewoman received a speeding ticket and a $1100 fine after speed cameras caught the car going 35mph in a 30mph zone on a section of the road in Bangor-on-Dee, near Wrexham.
Lady Tamara says ten of her staff have access to the cars, suggesting that it was likely she wasn’t driving the vehicle at the time.
“We have a farm business and it’s easier to have cars employees can drive. Whichever car is spare they take.”
The Duke of Westminster’s sister added that she had “six fleet vehicles under my name.”
House manager Oliver Harris was also a witness in the case, and was seen leaving Wrexham Magistrates with Lady Tamara van Cutsem.
Despite ruling out three of her staff, Lady Tamara claims that there was no way of knowing exactly who was behind the wheel on that particular date.
In a statement from her lawyer, Howard Jones, Lady Tamara claimed she didn’t want to admit to an offence she hadn’t committed and wanted to avoid misleading anyone.
“The defendant receives the notice and then does an internal inquiry to find out who was driving this pool vehicle on that particular date because she didn’t believe it was herself.”
However, the prosecution claims that the Westminster royal didn’t hand over the list of potential drivers to authorities -meaning she didn’t provide the information necessary to identify the driver.
Lady Tamara now faces $1,300 in fines as well as six penalty points for lacking reasonable diligence.
This isn’t the first time van Cutsem has been caught speeding, receiving three penalty points from the speeding ticket department in 2017.
With her staff being caught speeding twice since the incident, a log book system is now in place.
