After Matty J confessed his love from Laura Byrne during the fifth season of The Bachelor Australia, it was clear this love story was going to be one for the ages.
Two years after the couple locked lips and declared themselves head over heels for each other in Thailand, Matty popped the question to Laura and the pair welcomed their first daughter.
Now, before they’ve even head down the aisle, the couple have welcomed another girl to their brood, and fans are already revelling in the sisterly love.
Heading to her Instagram earlier today, Laura shared a hilarious snap of her two little girls, Marlie-Mae, one, and barely two-week-old Lola Ellis.
In the shot, Marlie is wrapping her arms around her little sister while she lies her head on her chest. But newborn Lola looks less than impressed at the show of affection. Ahh, sisterly love!
“Everyone has that one friend who doesn’t like being hugged.” Laura captioned the amusing photo. “Get used to it kid.”
Fans of the couple were quick to comment their delight at the latest bub-date, revelling in the hilarity that Laura always provides.
The Bachelor star’s podcast-co-host, and fellow Bachie alum, Brittany Hockley from season six, commented a simple “😂😍”.
“Perfect words for her face 😂❤️🙏✨🦋” a fan added.
Former Bachelor himself Matty J has been known to dabble in the land of TikTok now and then.
His latest comedic video, posted to Instagram as well, shows the 33-year-old taking a basket of washing out of the laundry room, at which point he is promptly presented with a trophy and “winner” sash while a cheering sound effect blasts in the background.
“Imagine if I actually folded it and put it away 🎉 🎉” Matty captioned the video.
Laura was also quick to reinforce the fictitious nature of the scenario, commenting, “If only you did the washing 😂”.
The comments section was soon littered with laughing emojis as fans revelled in the hilarious antics of the couple once more.
It has not even been two weeks since the fan-favourite Bachie couple announced they had welcomed Lola to the world.
“Welcome to the world my precious little Lola Ellis Johnson,” Laura penned on Instagram.
“I said I would eat my own poop if you were a girl, and yet HERE YOU ARE! Already teaching me the worldly life lessons that come with being a mama – such as, just because I feel something to be true (in my waters) doesn’t mean it is and not to make promises to @matthewdavidjohnson that I 100% do not intend on keeping.
“You are perfection. You are dynamite. We love you and your 95 percentile head endlessly.”
Matty and Laura have also confessed they wish to marry by the end of this year. And if the big day is anything like their social media posts, it looks like both their daughters are in for a hilarious ceremony.
