We will never forget the moment that The Bachelor’s Blake Garvey proposed to Sam Frost in front of the nation before promptly ditching her for the second-runner-up Louise Pillidge. It’s etched into our brains in the worst possible way.
Now, five years after the controversial couple broke up, Louise lives quite the private life – barely posting on social media. Until now.

On Wednesday, former Bachelor star and digital creator Louise Pillidge, 31, shared a snap of her fresh new look to her Instagram stories.
And when we tell you she looks unrecognisable to her time on The Bachelor... we mean it.
“Yesterday with the best. Thank you @lukedavishair. Love the new space @bleachsunday.” Louise captioned the photo.
Her new long curly brown locks are vastly different to the short blonde hair she rocked while on The Bachelor.
In recent years, Louise has rarely posted on social media; her ex, Blake Garvey, has shied even further away from the spotlight.
And considering he was once pegged “Australia’s most hated Bachelor” there’s no questioning why.
The finale of The Bachelor season two saw Blake Garvey propose to now Home & Away star Sam Frost. Fans oohed and ahhed at the seemingly perfect match. But all was not what it seemed.
Soon after the final episode had aired, the public was met with the shocking revelation that Blake had actually ditched Sam for second-runner-up Louise.
The decision was met with ferocious outcry. Fans rallied around Sam and Blake’s reputation was effectively ruined.
Despite the backlash, Louise and Blake dated for 18 months before calling it quits in April 2016.
In an exclusive interview with New Idea, the digital creator revealed it was Blake’s decision to end it.
“We sat down recently and Blake said: ‘It’s just not working – I feel like we’re treading water’. I knew deep down that he was right but I would never have been strong enough to say it.” Louise said.
“It feels surreal and since then I have gone through so many emotions. I’ve been crying, numb and angry”.
