They might not have a gold medal to their name, but Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have quickly become stars of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Travelling across France as official Olympic correspondents for NBC, this dynamic duo has been spotted everywhere from the volleyball to the equestrian, and we have to admit, their outfit choices are nothing short of iconic.
With their friendship now dominating the social media coverage of the biggest event in sport, many of us have come to wonder just how a celebrity chef and multi-award-winning rapper became some of the most wholesome besties in Hollywood.

How did Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart meet?
Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart first met in 2008 when the rapper appeared as a guest on The Martha Stewart Show, with the pair appearing together on a segment to make mashed potatoes.
The following year, Snoop returned to Stewart’s show to make a tray of brownies (with a healthy side dish of marijuana-themed innuendo).
Despite the unlikely pairing, the duo immediately hit it off, with Stewart joking in 2019, “What an odd couple we were!”
Seven years later, Snoop and Stewart reunited on stage for Comedy Central’s The Roast of Justin Bieber, and despite throwing verbal jabs at one another, it was Stewart’s quick wit that reinforced the duo’s friendship.
“She sat next to me and she stole the show. She was the funniest roaster that night… In that moment, I knew I wanted to be alongside this lady for the rest of my life,” Snoop told NBC.

In 2016, the pair brought their friendship back to its origins, launching a Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party – a cooking show that saw the famous friends host their fellow celebs for a night of “cocktails, cooking, conversation, and where nothing is off limits.”
Stepping into his friend’s world of food, Snoop also launched his first cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen, which featured a heartwarming forward from his long-time friend.
“Snoop and I have a special bond… Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies,” Stewart wrote, adding, “Working with Snoop in the kitchen has been a remarkable experience for me.”

Following the success of their cooking show and their friendship’s loyal fan following, Snoop and Stewart turned their focus from the kitchen to the world of hosting, with the pair hosting Animal Planet’s coverage of the 2021 and 2022 Puppy Bowl – an American Football game played by two teams of rescue puppies to raise awareness for adopting and rescuing animals in need.
In August 2024, the duo reunited again on screen for NBC’s coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, with their fully-fledged dressage outfits stealing the show at the Olympic equestrian event in Versailles.
Speaking on their decision to attend the equestrian, Stewart told Today, “Snoop called me and he knows I love horses. He’s a little fearful of horses.”
