Sleepless in Seattle star Meg Ryan made a rare public appearance at the 2024 Met Gala, marking her first time attending the event in over 20 years.
The 62-year-old wore a shimmering and slightly see-through black gown by Michael Kors, who met her for photographs on the staircase. She topped off her look with her signature wavy bob and stunned the crowd as usual!
The last time she attended the Met Gala was in 2001 when the event was known as The Costume Institute Benefit. At the time, she wore a black and white dress and still had her iconic pixie cut. The theme for that year was, Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years.
The actress has mostly been staying out of the public eye over the years, however, she recently made a comeback with her appearance in What Happens Later.
The movie premiered in November 2023 and her starring role marked her first romantic comedy in over 10 years, with her last rom-com being My Mom’s New Boyfriend, released in 2008.
Following her return to the big screen, Meg also walked the red carpet in a sheer, floral gown at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March 2024.
We hope all this means we’ll be seeing much more of her in the future!
