Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – touched down in New Zealand on Oct. 28.

After boarding the couple’s New Zealand Air Force flight to Wellington in a burgundy dress, Duchess Meghan performed a quick outfit change.

She stepped off in a breezy NZ wearing an above-the-knee black dress paired with a chequered beige coat.

And the Duchess look was chic but thriftier than usual.

Meghan’s dress was by ASOS maternity wear – retailing for around $30 – and she was wearing a Karen Walker trench coat.

In the blustery conditions Meghan’s dress flew up – revealing some leg as she negotiated the steps to the tarmac.

Prince Harry and Meghan met Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as they arrived at the Wellington International Airport Military Terminal.

The couple travelled from Sydney on the same plane as competitors from the New Zealand Invictus Games team.

The royal couple are due to attend a traditional welcome ceremony on the lawns of Government House.
