Two months after she initially responded to rude comments that were left on photos of her and her son, Paris has admitted in a new interview with PEOPLE that her “mama bear instincts” came out.
“Usually, I wouldn’t even dignify anything like that with a response, but I was just heartbroken that there are such cruel people in the world,” she explained.
“I couldn’t believe that they could be mean and vicious about a little innocent baby,” she added. “You can say what you want about me, but this is my little angel. And if anyone ever says anything to hurt him or his feelings, I will always be there to protect him.”
The mum of two — who recently announced that she and Carter have welcomed their second baby, daughter London — also told the publication that she “feels sorry” for anyone who would bully a child online.
“They’re that miserable in their lives that they would go and speak about a child in such a way.”
Paris, who recently shared a collection of snaps from Phoenix’s first trip to New York City, received an onslaught of negative comments about her son’s appearance, with many making reference to her son’s head shape.
“There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy and yes, of course, he has been to a doctor. He just has a large brain,” Paris wrote to TikTok at the time.
Shortly after her initial response, Paris took to her Instagram Stories to further share her thoughts on the fan reaction, writing, “Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe.”
“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful. I’m a proud working mum and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic… Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life… It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence,” she continued.
Paris previously announced her son’s arrival on Instagram on January 30, 2023.
“You are already loved beyond words 💙” Paris captioned the post, which featured a tiny hand holding her finger.
The couple, who married in 2022, have previously been open about their desire to expand their family.
People previously confirmed the couple, who previously began an IVF process during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, introduced their son, via surrogate.
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other,” Paris told People exclusively. “We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
Paris, 42 and Carter, 42, got engaged on Paris’s 40th birthday. She revealed on Instagram that her partner popped the question on their private island holiday where they were celebrating the business mogul’s birthday.
The loved-up couple has been together since their first date in 2019, but they have actually known each other for over 15 years.
Paris honoured their engagement in an Instagram post to reveal all the details about what went down.
“When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it, gushed the star.
“My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise.
“As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. I said yes, yes to forever. There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with.
