Most 16 year olds are flat out just getting their homework done, but not Olivia Deeble. She successful juggles school and a 40-hour week on the Home & Away set, where she plays rebellious teenager Raffy Morrison.
Olivia first began filming scenes for hit TV series in 2016 during a particularly tumultuous period in the long-running storyline. Character Billie Ashford (played by actress Tessa De Josselin) was about to die after a short battle with lung cancer and her on-set husband VJ was grieving. But it wasn’t long before Olivia’s character found herself at the heart of the drama.
When did ‘Raffy’ first appear on Home & Away?

What’s happened to Raffy Morrison so far?
Raffy’s relationships
Raffy met character Ty Anderson when he arrived to live with John Palmer and Marilyn Chambers as their new foster child. They got off on the wrong foot and did not like each other at all, but that all changed when Ty defended Raffy from some school bullies. They shared a sweet first kiss and started spending more time together. Raffy is smitten but feels like she is getting mixed messages from Ty, who doesn’t seem comfortable with her attempts at public displays of affection. It turns out that Ty is gay and is still coming to terms with his own sexuality. Raffy was heartbroken when she confronted Ty in the hospital, believing she had been the last person to know Ty wasn’t into her.
While Raffy is more of a rebellious teen that Olivia is in real life, the actress can see similarities between herself and her on-screen character.
“I remember when my Home and Away character Raffy got drunk so I had a drunk scene and he helped me a lot with that” Olivia fondly recalls.“We often do lines together. He is a really big part of my acting and has been completely supportive of me which is really nice.”
