Over 50 members of the British Royal Family were invited to Prince William and Princess Kate’s wedding in 2011, and it’s expected a similar number will be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials. But who are all these royals? Here’s your cheat sheet on the sprawling Windsor family.
Harry’s immediate family
These royals need no introduction—and Harry’s father, Prince Charles; mother-in-law, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; brother, Prince William; sister-in-law, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge; grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and grandfather Prince Phillip will all be front and centre at the wedding, with 96-year-old Phillip set to retire after the ceremony. William and Kate’s two older children, George and Charlotte, are expected to be part of the wedding party, while newborn Louis will likely be looked after by a nanny.
Harry’s close cousins
Harry has six first cousins—the children of his father’s siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, who will also all no doubt be in attendance.
Peter Phillips
Queen Elizabeth’s eldest grandchild, Peter Phillips, 40, is the son of Princess Anne and first husband Mark Phillips, and works in sports and event management. He and his Canadian-born management consultant wife, Autumn, 40, have two daughters, Savannah, 7, and Isla, 6.
Zara Tindall
Champion equestrian and former Olympian Zara Tindall, 37, is Princess Anne’s second child. She married ex-English rugby player Mike Tindall, 39, in 2011, and the couple welcomed daughter Mia, 4, in early 2014 and are expecting their second child.
Princess Beatrice
The first daughter of Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice of York, 29, devotes herself to charity work, having established charitable trust Big Change with a group of friends that includes two of Richard Branson’s children.
Princess Eugenie
Andrew and Sarah’s second daughter, Princess Eugenie of York, 28, leads a less public life, working as associate director of London art gallery Hauser & Wirth. She is engaged to long-time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, with the wedding set to take place on October 12 this year, also at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Lady Louise Windsor
The first child of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, 14, was born prematurely and with esotropia, a condition in which the eye is turned inward. Her vision was corrected by operation in 2013.
James, Viscount Severn
Queen Elizabeth’s youngest grandchild, James, Viscount Severn, is the second child of Edward and Sophie. He is currently 10 years old.
The descendants of Princess Margaret
The late Princess Margaret had two children with one-time husband Antony Armstrong Jones, David and Sarah. David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, 56, and wife Serena, 48, have two children, Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, 18, and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 16.
Lady Sarah Chatto, 54, and husband Daniel Chatto, 61, also have two children, Samuel and Arthur. Samuel, 22, received some attention when he posted shirtless photos of himself on Instagram, while 19-year-old Arthur was a page to great-aunt Queen Elizabeth as a teenager.
Harry’s more distant family
There are many more cousins in the House of Windsor, in part due to the fact that Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, had five siblings, three of whom had children. Some of the more prominent members of this part of the family include Prince and Princess Michael of Kent; Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and his wife, Katharine, Duchess of Kent; and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester.
