The long wait is over as Samantha has finally been able to enter her hometown of Perth, which was a state with some of the most rigid border restrictions.
The star was very emotional about the reunion as she has been so isolated from her closest loved ones.
In an Instagram announcement she penned, “I’m home!”
“It’s been over a year since I have seen my family and I am so happy to be home with my favourite people… my dad and brothers!” she continued.
“Lots of tears today! Get ready for some Perth spam!”
Samantha received a lot of lovely support from fans and friends in the comments section, and close friend Jules Sebastian posted a wholesome comment.
Jules said, “So happy for you all. How are you all that good looking?!”
Jules makes a fair call considering the picture paired with the post features Samantha’s genetically blessed brothers.
However, being separated from her family wasn’t the singer’s only heartbreak last year.
Samantha, who has been engaged for two years to her partner Pat Handlin, the son of Sony Music Australia’s CEO, Denis Handlin, had to cancel their wedding plans.
The Daily Telegraph reported that Samantha is planning to wed in Perth, so it would not be a surprise if the performer surprises fans with a secret wedding in the coming weeks.
In the article, the Daily Telegraph discussed how challenging wedding planning has been for the bride to be.
The former Home and Away actress said, “We were on specific dates and details, but then the border was closed. Occasionally, we start replanning, but then Covid flares again.”
“We don’t want to reschedule again and again, so we are going to wait it out.”
Well, since the Covid outbreak in Australia has been relatively calm for a while, maybe Samantha has organised a Perth wedding after all.
