Sydney Sweeney just dropped a serious hard launch of her relationship with boyfriend Scooter Braun on her Instagram story on May 13. The post shows a video montage of the pair’s time together in Australia (something she never did for her ex of seven years btw).
So, while on the surface, the story appears to be a harmless reel of the star and her music manager beau enjoying each other’s company, the internet is conspiring over whether it’s something deeper…or rather why it looks so much like a Tourism Australia ad.
Their relationship was confirmed by TMZ in September 2025, but now their previously casual pairing has escalated to the next level.

TMZ reported in September 2025 that the 27-year-old is casually dating music manager and executive Scooter Braun after the pair were spotted together at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s ultra-luxury Venice wedding.
While the relationship was labelled as “casual” by insiders at the time, especially given Sydney’s recently ended engagement with Jonathan Davino, the rumours refused to die. People soon after reported the couple together at the actress’ birthday together on a getaway to Utah, and sources at the time also shared with Entertainment Tonight that the couple are “taking it slow,” but that they are “overwhelmed by the backlash they receive” as a result of seeing each other.
Now, in May 2026, the couple have become Instagram official, with Sydney posting affectionate photos and videos of the two together, including romantic beach moments, helicopter rides, and PDA-filled vacation clips from Australia.
However, this seems to be rare behaviour from the actress, as a video of this scale was never once posted during her relationship with ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino.
Perhaps this means this new relationship will last? Either way, the pairing has divided the internet, particularly given the actress’ recent PR campaign controversies and MAGA associations as well as the music manager’s public feud with Taylor Swift.
Who is Scooter Braun?
Scooter is a music manager and entrepreneur known for guiding the careers of stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
But his name became headline news in 2019 when he purchased Big Machine Label Group, the record company that owned Taylor Swift’s first six albums.
The move sparked a very public feud with Taylor, who claimed she wasn’t given the chance to buy back her own masters, leading her to re-record her old albums, which she named “Taylor’s Version”.
He was previously married to health and wellness entrepreneur Yael Cohen in July 2014, with whom they share three children.
After seven years of marriage, reports surfaced in 2021 that the two had separated, and Scooter officially filed for divorce later that year.
When did Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino break off their engagement?
The pair are no longer together, ending their seven year relationship in March 2025.
In an interview with The Times on May 31, 2025, Sydney confirmed that they had split.
When asked if she was planning a wedding, Sydney responded, “No”.
The 27-year-old was also asked if she was single, to which she answered, “Yes.”
“I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she added.
