As a royal fan, you probably know everything about Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and of course our Princess Mary.
But what about the European royals and their stunning princesses?
Princess Madeleine of Sweden
Seventh-in-line to the throne, Princess Madeleine, 36, now lives in Florida with her husband, British-born financier Christopher O’Neill.
They have three children, Princess Leonore, born in 2014, Prince Nicolas, born in 2015 and Princess Adrienne, born in 2018. The palace said she’d remain committed to her royal duties.
“Princess Madeleine has a great commitment to children’s rights and will continue working with the World Childhood Foundation, and through the move [to the US], be able to focus more on the activities in the United States,” said a statement.
Princess Victoria of Sweden
As the heir to the throne, Crown Princess Victoria, 41, often finds herself in the middle of European royal circles. Her close friends include Princess Mary, Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Madeleine and the Duchess of Cambridge.
Victoria has spoken at length about suffering from bulimia as a young adult. “I wanted all the time to do and be so much more than I realistically could do, or could be,” she says
It was during a training session as part of her treatment that she met husband, former personal trainer Daniel Westling. The couple married in 2010 and have two children, Princess Estelle, 7, and Prince Oscar, 3.
Princess Sofia of Sweden
Having married Prince Carl Philip – fourth-in-line to the throne in 2015 – Sofia Hellqvist was already well known in Sweden for her wild-child reputation.
A former glamour model and reality TV star, the 34-year-old made headlines after sharing a kiss with porn star Jenna Jameson and was known to party with celebrities including Puff Daddy and Mark Wahlberg.
She met her husband in a nightclub in 2010. Since then, Sofia has had a royal makeover, focusing on her charity work.
“I was met with an enormous hate storm from people who had opinions about me as a person, about my relationship,” she says. “It definitely affected me.” The couple have welcomed two children, Prince Alexander, 2, and Prince Gabriel, 1.
Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece
Married to the heir-apparent to the now defunct Greek throne, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal is a successful businesswomen.
Born in England and raised in Hong Kong, she was studying art history at New York University when Prince Pavlos proposed. Their 1995 London wedding was the largest gathering of royals since Queen Elizabeth married Prince Philip in 1947.
The couple have five children together, which she says inspired her to start her own childrenswear label. “When I was pregnant with my third child I started Marie- Chantal because it was the type of brand that I needed for my children,” she told Vogue.
Marie- Chantal is also a Danish princess – her mother-in-law’s sister is Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
Princess Mette Marit of Norway
The future Queen of Norway, Mette-Marit met husband Crown Prince Haakon in 2001.
A commoner and a single mum, Mette-Marit was a controversial figure due to her “rebellious” background.
The couple have two children together, Princess Ingrid, 15, and Prince Sverre, 13. Her first son Marius, 22, holds no royal title.
In 2018 the princess was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, which has limited her program of official duties. She is undergoing treatment in Oslo.
