Julia Morris and Dr. Chris Brown are returning to host the show, when it premieres on January 3, 2022. Though they’re yet to reveal any contestants for the eighth season, it’s sure to bring some of our favourite former athletes, reality stars and more into the ‘jungle’ – though the show will likely film in Australian bushland again this year.

Australian Survivor

Break out the buffs – Jonathan LaPaglia and his sassy one-liners are here to stay. 10 has confirmed the reality TV show will return next year, following the successful Brain V Brawn season this year. Filmed in the Australian Outback, instead of Fiji, the show still made a huge mark despite the pandemic. Season Seven will premiere off the back of I’m A Celeb in the early months of next year, with a Blood V Water theme.

The Masked Singer

Won by powerhouse popstar Anastacia in 2021, The Masked Singer will be back for another feel-good season next year. Hosted by Osher Günsberg, the show includes panelists Urzila Carlson, Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and Dave Hughes.

MasterChef Australia: Foodies vs Favourites

Premiering around Easter, Season 14 of MasterChef will bring together favourites and foodies. 12 household names and 12 aspiring chefs will face-off in the iconic kitchen, with returning judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy Allen.

Spoiler alert! Season One winner Julie Goodwin will be among the returning stars cooking it up in the kitchen. She’ll be following in the footsteps of her runner-up, Poh Ling Yeow, who returned to the show in 2020.

The Bachelor & The Bachelorette Australia

Despite record low ratings on Jimmy Nicholson’s season of The Bachelor Australia – even though he was super lovely and likeable – the show will be retuning in 2022. Bach Nation will be back with the two original formats, though not Bachelor In Paradise.

Osher said: “Get set for more love stories, more luxurious dates, and more whispering when we return with The Bachelor and The Bachelorette Australia in 2022. We redefined dating shows with The Bachelorette Australia this year, and it’s set to be even better next season as we head to a major moment for this landmark franchise.

First Dates Australia

This much-loved, lowkey dating show is coming to Channel 10 next year after it was cancelled by Channel Seven in 2020. Awkward encounters, mismatches and the occasional super sweet couple, we can’t wait to watch this one again.

Would I Lie To You?

It’s one of the UK’s favourite shows, and now there’s an Aussie version coming to our screens. The series sees comedians and stars playing a game where they have to tell a potential ‘lie’ about a scenario to other contenders in the room and convince them if it’s true or false.

Host Chrissie Swan will direct two teams – captained by Chris Taylor and Frank Woodley – as they navigate the far-fetched to the perfectly plausible stories.

Have You Been Paying Attention?

Everyone’s favourite comedians continue to take on the biggest stories of the week on Have You Been Paying Attention? Hosted by Tom Gleisner, with permanent stars Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee coming back as well.

Tom said: “It has been so much fun hosting another season of HYBPA? and I hope that our show has provided an opportunity for audiences to enjoy watching something other than Chief Health Officers giving daily press conferences. We look forward to returning in 2022.”

Hunted Australia

A new Hunger Games meets The Bourne Identity style reality TV show, contestants are sent out as fugitives on the run in Melbourne, attempting to outrun and evade capture. It sounds intense, but it’s a huge hit around the world.
