Brook Crompton and Chris Nield may be still together on MAFS, but are they still together in real life? Well… that’s another story entirely- grab your popcorn!
From casual fat-phobic comments to rattling off the very small percentage of marriages that actually work out, it was clear from the beginning that Chris was Brook’s dream husband… not!
Brook refused to kiss Chris as they were announced ‘man and wife’, and it’s something the groom wasn’t too happy about. Explaining the reasoning behind her decision, Brook explained that he had to earn his stripes with her and, honestly, fair enough.
Are Chris and Brook still together?
Brook and Chris are very much not together anymore, in fact, the 27-year-old model is engaged and expecting a baby with her ex, 28-year-old builder Harry.
“I had a dream that I was pregnant. I woke up and thought, ‘That was crazy,’ but I did a pregnancy test… and it was positive!” Brook exclusively told Woman’s Day.
Brook reportedly reunited with her ex Harry only two weeks after she left the MAFS experiment, with the model admitting to the experts during the casting process that she had only been single mere days before signing up for the experiment.
“He had to put in the hard yards, because he broke up with me,” Brook told Woman’s Day. “But no, really we were both like, ‘OK, if it didn’t work back then, what are we going to do to make it work now?’” she says. “But Harry invited me away to the Maldives a couple of weeks later for a surfing trip with his family friends and that just cemented things for me.
“We just had the most beautiful time. We were better than we had ever been.”
Chris’ cruel comments ahead of MAFS wedding
Speaking to the other grooms ahead of his big day, Chris revealed that his dealbreaker when dating is a woman who is “overweight.”
“If I have a genuine interest in someone, they are going to be fit and healthy,” he continued, before doubling down and saying: “Fat people, no go”. Wow.
Chris then questioned the validity of the MAFS experts qualifications, adding that they are probably from a “cereal box.”
What do the other MAFS grooms think of Chris?
Although none of the other grooms stood up to Chris when he was spewing hateful nonsense weight, many shared their thoughts in the confessional.
Speaking about the moment, fellow MAFS groom Danny said: “Chris…. he was stirring the pot,” and Grayson added: “He is very blatant and blunt, if that’s the way he speaks about women, he’s got no chance.”
One would hope not! I mean, who could date someone who speaks like that, let alone marry them.
What do the MAFS experts think of Chris?
Calling him one of the “most cynical” contestants they’ve ever had on the show, expert John Aiken was not impressed with Chris’ commentary.
