Iman and the late David Bowie’s little girl is growing up.
The 60-year-old model shared a rare photo of her daughter Alexandria “Lexi” Zahra Jones, in honour of her 16th birthday to Instagram.
In the black and white portrait, the teen seems to be taking after her model mother in the photo, giving the camera a smoldering gaze.
“Happy sweet 16th birthday to my baby girl Lexi!” Iman wrote alongside the stunning shot. “Stay sweet ‘Classy with a hint of sassy’#selfportrait #LexiLove.”
A heartwarming birthday message for Lexi was also posted to her late father’s Instagram account on August 15.
“HAPPY SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY TO LEXI ‘Fill your heart with love today, Don’t play the game of time…’ We’re sure you will all want to join us in wishing many happy returns of the day to Alexandria Zahra Jones on her 16th birthday,” the caption alongside a sweet family shot read.
“Lexi, as she’s known to her friends and family, is pictured here with her parents as a new-born baby back in 2000.
“Happy Birthday Lexi, here’s wishing you love ‘n stuff from everybody here.”
Bowie and Iman met in October of 1990, and “they were inseparable” ever since, the couple’s friend, hairstylist Teddy Antolin, told WHO in January.
“They really knew each other because they had come up and traveled in the same circles. They were great together,” Antolin added at the time. “She was a real force and he needed a woman by his side to keep him focused.”
The model and the rocker married in Tuscany after two years together. In 2000, they welcomed their daughter.
Iman and Lexi have stayed out of the public eye since Bowie passed away at age 69 on January 10 2016 after a long, private battle with cancer.
