Having Magic Men stripper Will Parfitt on Married At First Sight wasn’t on our bingo card this year, but alas, the biggest moment of the show has been thrust upon us.

Will attended the wedding as groomsman to Danny Hewitt, who married Bec Zacharia.

And, while he’s used to being the frontman of the male revue show that made him famous and got him millions of social media followers, Will admitted to WHO he didn’t quite expect to be the centre of attention during his best mate’s wedding.

As Bec stood at the altar across from her soon-to-be husband, she clocked Will in the front row and announced to everyone that he had slept with one of her friend’s recently.

The revelation was met with shocked laughter (both by those in the room and by MAFS fans).

Will said he was just as surprised as anyone.

“She caught me off guard, to be honest,” Will told WHO. “I thought she was going to be looking at her new husband.

“When I found out she was from Adelaide, I was just hoping I didn’t recognise the bride,” he joked, admitting he was relieved.

MAFS fans questioned whether moment was ‘staged’

Online, MAFS fans were delighted by the revelation, but some did question whether it was “staged”.

Will said he didn’t know if the moment had been pre-planned or not, but he confirmed his reaction on-screen was a genuine one. He explained he hadn’t spoken to Bec or any of the production team about the random connection he had with the bride before the revelation mid-ceremony.

“I don’t know what the producers said to her backstage, but for me, it was a real reaction and real moment. I had no idea she was going to come out with that,” he said.

“That’s why my reaction was just laughing with the boys because I was not expecting that to be the first thing that comes out of her mouth.”

The moment MAFS fans didn’t see from the show

Something that didn’t make the edit was Will’s best man speech during the wedding.

Why? He doesn’t know.

Thankfully, he shared it with WHO.

So… what did Will say in his best man speech to Danny?

Look no further.

“Now somehow… somehow… Danny trusted me to be his best man tonight. He even made me promise to ‘behave myself’ so don’t worry, mate — I won’t mention your exes. Mainly because we’d be here all night… and I’ve only got 3 minutes. (And let’s be honest, three minutes is longer than most of those relationships lasted anyway.)

“I’ve had the absolute pleasure — and lifelong responsibility — of being Danny’s best mate for over 30 years. We’ve done a lot together over the years: wild nights out, dodgy haircuts, questionable life choices, and some mild misdemeanours (nothing proven, of course). And probably the best decision we ever made? Moving to Australia together.

“Now, landing in a new country with no plan, no money, and Danny as your travel buddy — that’s not immigration, that’s a survival course. Somehow, we both ended up as permanent residents. I became a world-famous male stripper… And Danny got married to a stranger. Our parents must be so proud.”
