In a move that surprised few, Ally made a return to Farmer Wants A Wife and gate-crashed the Black Tie event in the latest episode of the show — leaving all of the farmers and girls shocked, especially Scarlett and Keeley.
Both girls had been left in limbo, waiting to find out if Ally would make an appearance at the event after storming off Dylan’s farm earlier in the week, and wondering what it would mean for their own fate with the rodeo cowboy.
Ally did attend, and when she pulled Dylan aside for a chat (which ended in them kissing in front of everyone), the girls’ situation turned from bad to worse.
Fans took to social media to express their frustration that the show has turned “tacky” and “dramatic”, but they have also rallied in support of Scarlett because of the way she handled the situation.
The polo player admitted the reasons why she felt both empowered and heartbroken, was that it all unfolded in front of cameras.
‘I had Dylan begging me to stay’
Scarlett was torn on whether to stay on the show and keep competing for Dylan’s heart after Ally’s return.
She explained that, despite the farmer later asking Keeley to leave and “begging” her to stay, which gave her some reassurance, she found the whole ordeal wildly disrespectful.
“It’s TV and it’s a love show, like that is bound to happen. But I think it was really important, in that moment, for me to stand up for Keely and I, because I don’t want young girls to watch the show and just think, ‘Oh, like if a man does this in real life, it’s fine’,” she tells WHO.
“The issue I had with Dylan begging me to stay is that for me, they were empty words. I need actions, and his actions had just proved the opposite.”
She felt empowered to call Dylan (and Ally) out on the behaviour, eager to not let the behaviour slide as so many people watched on at home.
However, with such strong feelings for the farmer, she confessed she couldn’t quite walk away and that was a tricky decision to make – knowing viewers might judge her for it.
“A little part of me was like, let’s just stick to this,” she said.
“I do know I have a strong connection with Dylan, but even though I think he may choose Ally, I wasn’t definite. I didn’t know definitely, obviously, but I was like the little hope in me that was loved so badly was like, I need to see this through.”

Fans admit to ‘underestimating’ the polo player
Despite her concerns, viewers showed support towards Scarlett, saying they were impressed by the way she handled herself throughout the episode and the show at large.
“I love her after tonight, so much bloody respect for herself. Absolute goals as a single woman,” one fan said.
“I’m all for Scarlett I think she said exactly what some of us women would say, I’m very proud of her [for] sticking up for Keeley. I’d gladly have Scarlett as a friend any day,” another commented.
Many others admitted to “underestimating” her at the start of the show, explaining they hadn’t understood why Dylan had initially picked her, but now saying she’s the “best of the bunch”.
“I think she is very mature, definitely growing on me. She’s held herself very well through the whole show,” a viewer said, with many others agreeing.
The finale is now upon us and it’s fair to say that all signs point to Dylan picking Ally, but we still hold out hope for Scarlett.
However, it could be said that, while Ally has stolen Dylan’s heart, maybe Scarlett has stolen the heart of viewers.
Her integrity, on top of her emotional arc through the season, has firmly placed her on good standing with fans — and maybe that makes her the real winner.
