Our favourite chaotic reality TV star, Jessika Power, has continued to stoke the flames of the Shane Warne texting scandal dumpster fire after she kicked it off this week on Big Brother VIP.
“I got drunk last night and accidentally leaked the Shane Warne texts,” Jess said on her Instagram stories this morning, referencing a since-deleted screenshot of WhatsApp messages that allegedly came from Shane.
“Note to any celebrities out there – perhaps don’t text me,” she said with a giggle.
“Do you know what, Shane’s a good sport, mate … he doesn’t seem to care,” she added.
“It’s all in the fun!” she wrapped up the response, laughing at herself.
It was revealed on Big Brother VIP this week that Shane had sent Jess some ‘inappropriate’ text messages.
“He messaged me three or four times and I hadn’t seen it, and then I replied back,” Jess told radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa when they guest-starred on the show to grill the contestants on their biggest controversies.
“He goes ‘Can I say hi?’ and I said ‘Of course you can say hi, I don’t bite’,” she explained.
“And he said ‘what if I ask you to?’”
“I told my dad and he goes, ‘Watch out for him darling, he’s a spinner,’” Jess added.
While she didn’t give specifics at the time, Jess did reveal the messages were ‘X-Rated’.
“It was to do with being naked and facing a wall and on knees,” she explained.
“A bit graphic, you know. I didn’t like that.”
The message thread Jess shared last night was decidedly less raunchy.
“I would love to see you but not in your hotel room straight away … I’d like to actually meet you I’m not that kind of girl,” Jess appeared to say.
Shane then allegedly sent four further messages trying to organise to meet up with Jess, before the conversation ended with her blocking him.
She captioned the screenshot ‘I truly am sorry I left you on read babe’.
While there’s no evidence of the messages Jess discussed on the show, Shane does have a history of involvement in scandals.
He admitted to ‘dirty talk’ shared with nurse Donna Wright in the year 2000, which she claimed was harassment. He was also accused of ‘badgering’ British woman Laura Sayers for sex after a night out in London, and asked her to join in a foursome with a fellow member of his cricket team, in 2005.
Fellow Big Brother VIP contestants Ellie Gonsalves and Imogen Anthony, both models, also commented that Shane had messaged them as well in the wake of Jess’s comments.
“Just between us, he’s done it to me, too” Ellie told Big Brother.
“He’s literally tried to DM me and invite me out, like it’s just, I’ve got no time for that … I’ve been in a relationship for 13 years,” she explained.
“He DMs everyone filthy stuff,” Imogen later said as her, Ellie and the other housemates watched Jess admit to the messages while speaking to Fitzy and wippa.
“He DM’ed me back in the day when I was with Kyle,” she added, referring to her relationship with Kyle Sandilands.
