Another pair of strangers got hitched on Married At First Sight last night and it’s a moment we didn’t see in the episode that has everyone talking.
Brook Crompton, 27, and Chris Nield, 31, got married in the rain in front of their family and friends, but when it came to sealing the ceremony with a kiss, Brook wasn’t for it.
The celebrant announced the pair husband and wife before encouraging the couple to “celebrate with a kiss”, but instead, the pair awkwardly hugged before Brook said: “You can kiss me on the cheek”.

Brook later said she was “conservative” and didn’t feel like kissing Chris in that moment.
“I hope I put him in his place,” she said, explaining he had to “earn his stripes” after just meeting him and hearing his pessimistic vows.
However, the groom wasn’t happy.
“Like, what’s the point? At least kiss me on the f***ing wedding stand. This is an experiment, you’ve got three months. I’m not hanging out for two f***ing months just to get my first kiss.”
It isn’t the first time a kiss (or the lack of one) at a wedding ceremony has caused controversy, and fans were divided on whether Brook’s decision was “fair enough” or unnecessary.
To kiss or not to kiss during a MAFS wedding ceremony
MAFS fans were quick to remark that, despite the groom claiming he didn’t care about not getting a kiss, it definitely seemed like he did.
“For someone that doesn’t care he really seems to care,” one quipped online.
Other fans shared their outrage at Chris’ entitlement and how he expected a kiss in the first place.
“Hey Alexa play Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter,” one fan wrote, whilst another exclaimed, “IF SHE DOESN’T WANT TO KISS YOU, SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO!”
Some viewers even praised Brook for clearly establishing boundaries with her new husband.
“Great – a woman with values who knows her self worth,” one comment read.

Are Chris and Brook still together?
It’s been a rocky start for Chris and Brook and it appears that not much will change for these two as the season progresses.
A source revealed to Chattr that Chris was made to leave MAFS after two weeks following a blow-up with Brook.
“Spoiler alert, [Chris is] not going to be on the show for very long, I think two weeks at best,” Josh Fox claimed on the MAFS Funny podcast.
“[Brook] sees straight through him. And there is a big thing that happens. And at one point she was like, ‘Nope, see ya’. And yeah, [she] flew home, but then she came back,” he added.
After Brook came back into the MAFS experiment, there was allegedly a big off-screen moment that “basically changed everything, and [Chris] was made to leave within 48 hours of that thing happening.”
We need details, now.
