Human ray of sunshine Sarah Tiong was eliminated from MasterChef: Back To Win last night in one of the saddest goodbyes of the season.
But, as the contestant was cheered out of the kitchen she pulled a gesture that was rather questionable…
Sarah appears to have flipped off her fellow contestants and judges.
WATCH: Sarah Tiong’s eyebrow raising exit from MasterChef.
Honestly, we wouldn’t blame her.
What an exit to make after having your MasterChef dreams crushed like tinned tomatoes.
As Sarah ran out of the building, applauded by everyone she turned and waved her hands Wiggles-style with one finger on either hand raised.
Fans were quick to point out that it appeared she had given everyone the finger.
“Did Sarah just “flip the bird” upon exit from @masterchefau?! Asking for a friend…” tweeted one viewer, while another commented: “Hubby replaying Sarah leaving convinced she gave everyone the finger on the way out.”
As per usual, the eliminated MasterChef contestant appeared The Project, and host Peter Helliar asked the glaring question: ““Did you flip the bird on the way out?”
“My lawyer training tells me to plead the fifth. I can neither confirm nor deny,” Sarah laughed.
Typically no comment is a glaring admission of guilt. It would certainly make Sarah one of the most kick-a** contestant, ever.
Carrie Bickmore jumped in adding she was sure it was Sarah’s index finger rather than the one in question.
“I wouldn’t want people to think you flipped the bird when you didn’t,” the TV presenter said.
To which Sarah replied: “Absolutely not.”
We know which truth we’d prefer to believe.
