If you’ve been tuning into the Eurovision hype this year, you’d know that Australia’s very own Delta Goodrem will be performing in the second semi-final very soon. Friday morning (May 15th) at 5am AEST, Goodrem is performing her new track Eclipse from her newly announced album Pure.

The exciting studio album news, alongside Delta’s fame in Europe, is looking to be working in her favour this year.

The singer herself opened up in a Rolling Stone Uncut podcast about how “blessed” and “grateful” she feels to have this experience.

“We’ll give it a good go!” she told the publication. “To have everyone come together for an iconic [event]… where you’ve had ABBA, Celine Dion, Olivia Newton-John, Måneskin, just phenomenal artists that have been a part of music all these years, for me, in other moments it might not have been right.

“In this moment, I was like… what a blessing to be able to have that moment in time to go up there.

“But I’m so grateful, and it’s an amazing, special moment.”

As fans are eager to see Australia actually earn a place this year (perhaps following in the footsteps of Dami Im’s iconic 2016 runner up success) knowing how and when to vote has been top of mind!

How to vote in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest?

Delta Goodrem herself took to social media today to clear any confusion around how and when to vote during her performance for the 2026 Eurovision semi-final.

“Here’s what you need to know!” she said in the social post. “I’m performing in the second semi final.

“Vote number 11 !!”

However, there’s a catch!

If you’re based in Australia, you actually can’t vote for Delta because you can’t vote for the country you’re currently residing (a pain, I know!).

However, anyone overseas who’s a fan of the singer can! So basically, if you have any international friends and you want Delta to win, ask them to text the number 11 to the phone number allocated to their country (which you can find in her post below).

So basically, the only way you can vote for Delta is to ask someone else not in Australia.

If you’re voting from Australia

Where can you vote?

Since Australia is a participating country, you can vote by phone or SMS.

You will see the instructions appear on the screen while you’re watching the broadcast on SBS, however, you can also find the same ones at the link here.

But you cannot vote for Australia if you’re in Australia.

When can you vote?

For the semi-final, once the last song has been performed, the voting will begin.

You can vote up to 10 times, and you’ll have 20 minutes to do so.

For the final, voting opens just before the first song is performed.

You can vote up to 10 times, and voting will be opened throughout all the performances, and then for approximately 40 minutes after the last song has been performed.

How is the winner decided for Eurovision 2026?

Eurovision voting is split between professional jury votes – which take place during the special ‘Jury Show’ who are industry professionals — and public televoting, which takes place as the show airs live.

While the semi-finals are based on 100 per cent televoting (with some backup from juries), the final is a 50/50 split.
