Eurovision is in full swing and our very own Delta Goodrem is set to represent Australia in the semi-final on Friday morning (our time!). With contestants already knocked out after the first semi-final and audiences very ready to vote, Goodrem has been busy prepping behind-the-scenes, and snippets of her dress rehearsal just dropped.
These leaked details of the second round of performances are shaping the odds for the competition and giving us a sneak peek into what we can expect of Australia’s performance.
So, if you’d like a spoiler, look no further.
What can we expect from Delta Goodrem’s Eurovision performance?
Delta Goodrem’s performance at Eurovision has been the talk of Australian media, personalities, and fans this week, because we’re all so excited to be in with a shot of ranking high.
Iconic podcasts, like Em Rusciano’s Emsolation Podcast, have delved into the satisfaction of Goodrem leaning into her “diva era” during the song contest, and after teasers of the dress rehersal were released, it’s safe to say this Aussie diva is ready to stun audiences.

In the dress rehearsal, Delta’s dress “sparkled” in the performance and her golden piano was “surrounded by smoke” so it’s fair to say the theatrics are high, according to Aussievision, an independent Eurovision fan site.
However, the exciting twist ultimately meant the superstar got lost amongst all these production elements.
It’s been reported “there will be much less” during her live performance, with last minute changes pulling back the production to focus more on Delta.
But, a dramatic conclusion involving a rising platform and a “sun coming out from the eclipse behind her” is supposedly here to stay and is sure to steal the show (and voters’ hearts… fingers crossed).
It seems Goodrem had to make these last minute changes to her set to give her the best chance at success, so we’re all for it.
What were the results of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2026?
The results for the first Eurovision semi-finals performance saw Montenegro, Georgia, San Marino, Portugal, and Estonia eliminated.
The greatest heartbreak for fans was the elimination of Boy George, who represented San Marino this year.
However, George spoke on how he was feeling about his grand final miss, gushing about his “fabulous” Eurovision experience.
“I was sad we didn’t get through to the final but my Eurovision experience has been fabulous,” he said. “I wouldn’t take a minute of it back.”
Successful nations going through to the grand final include Moldova, Sweden, Greece, Belgium, Poland, Israel, Serbia, Croatia, Lithuania, and Finland (the current favourites to beat).
Let’s hope Australia is the next country added to the list!
