Excuse our French, but Manu Feildel is back – and with My Kitchen Rules‘ ultimate supergroup for the all new The Rivals series.

The show’s format will see Manu mentor the cream of previous seasons’ crop all bunk in the one house, where they will train their croquembouches off to win MKR: The Rivals.

Their rivals? Colin Fassnidges’s newbies, who live in a separate mansion where they’re also training their croquembouches off.

JAC & SHAZ, QLD.

Who remembers Mount Isa sweethearts, Jac, 47, and Shaz, 48, from season six?

The runners-up tell New Idea they’ve learnt from their mistakes. ‘One of my regrets from our season is not having great dessert recipes up our sleeve,’ says Jac.

‘I guess second time around you are wiser,’ adds Shaz.

SOPHIA & ROMEL

These tough-talking Sydneysiders appeared in different seasons, four and 10 respectively, but together they make a dynamic duo.

‘I had a great experience last season,’ says Romel, 43, who tells New Idea he’s ready to take home the trophy alongside Sophia, 35.

‘It really challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I want to give it another crack to see how far I can go this time.’

ROULA & RACHAEL, VIC.

Roula, 36, and Rachael, 23, want MKR viewers to know they aren’t the dramatic villains they were on season nine.

‘It’s 100 per cent about redeeming ourselves,’ Rachael tells New Idea.

‘Last time we got way too caught up in the table drama and lost ourselves. I want to show the real me and also show we can cook.’

DAN & STEPH, QLD.

‘There’s so much more at stake this time,’ Dan, 38, tells New Idea, seven seasons after winning MKR.

Since then, Dan and Steph, 37, have welcomed their daughter, Emmy, four, who they conceived through IVF.
