After 16 years on NCIS Pauley Perrette aka Abby Sciuto is hanging up her white lab coat for good.
Perrette, 48, confirmed rumours that she is leaving the long-running crime series in a Tweet.
“So it is true that I am leaving NCIS after this season,” she wrote.
“There have been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!),” the actress continued.
She then explained that it wasn’t a last minute decision, and that was made last year.
“I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years,” she wrote.
“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration … I love her as much as you do.”
Perrette, who has also starred in The Ring and Almost Famous will leave after season 15 of NCIS.
