Who are Maddy and Charlotte, the new contestants on The Block?

They credit watching The Block growing up for inspiring them in their renovation work. When they were 21 and 19, the girls saved up their cash from odd jobs and Mc Donald’s shifts and bought a shack in Newcastle to fix up. The shack was flipped and sold in 2022 and they now have multiple builds on the go, with more planned, while still juggling their odd jobs and working in the family business.
“It has taken a lot of sacrifices to get where we are,” Maddy said. “I think our generation believe things come easy, but there is nothing that has come easy with what we have done and achieved.”
How did Maddy and Charlotte end up on The Block?
Maddy and Charlotte reportedly had just 24 hours’ notice before they were asked to join The Block and take over from Jesse and Paige. According to Yahoo Lifestyle Channel Nine was left scrambling after the Western Australian couple’s exit, but the sisters didn’t hesitate. They dropped everything and dove straight into the competition, with the high-stakes task of finishing a master bedroom and walk-in wardrobe waiting for them. Talk about jumping in the deep end!

“Our goal is to create a beautiful home that’s welcoming, warm, comfortable and a special place for families to make precious memories,” Charlotte said. “We hope to grow as individuals, push ourselves to our absolute limits, and inspire young people who may also want to pursue a dream or do something very different.”
“We are anticipating the challenges and stresses that are about to come,” Maddy said. “I have no doubt we will struggle and be pushed far out of our comfort zone.”
