But shortly after her post, Kyle and Jackie O and appeared to have changed her tune by simply blaming her “second bottle of Bollinger” for the post and explaining she had posted after a row with her husband.

“If you put s**t out there (on Instagram), you get free s**t. I thought if I put a divorce out there, I’d get a free divorce lawyer,” she deadpanned

Before she went on to call her husband a “pain in the arse”. She also admitted he was “pretty angry” during the fight prior to her heated post.

“Last night he said ‘What do you want for Mother’s Day?’ I said, ‘How about a divorce,’ and he said ‘I wasn’t planning to spend that much.’”

As the argument escalated, “He said he’d fight for custody of the kids, but I knocked him out in one punch.”

The star then finished off by claiming she’d reconsidered her decision to divorce: “I’d hate to split up the appliances, so we’ll probably keep at it. I’m a masochist.”

Following his wife’s radio interview, David spoke to News Corp and admitted: “I often find out about what’s happening in our family by reading about it in the media. But my children will not be finding out that way through anything that I say.”

“It’s fair for me to say it’s no laughing matter and while I often make light of these things because of my own dark sense of humour, it’s no laughing matter. And it’s not something I’ll further because it’s not in the interest of my kids.

The couple have been married for 16 years and are parents to Bert, four, and Harry, six.
