Is Argylle based on a book?
Argylle is based on a book of the same name by author Elly Conway.
The novel was published one month prior to the release of the film. Interestingly, the film is said to be based on the fourth book of the Argylle series however, the following three novels have yet to be released.
In the months leading up to the film’s cinematic debut, fans also speculated that Taylor Swift was the elusive author behind the series.

What is Argylle about?
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, Argylle follows the story of novelist Elly Conway as she continues to write her fifth spy novel about Agent Aubrey Argylle, however, the details of her story start to become eerily more lifelike, with the fictional spy syndicate soon finding its way into Elly’s reality.
While Elly is grappling with her new reality, she is ambushed by spy Aidan Wylde who reveals that an undercover organisation has now made her their primary target as they believe her novels have predicted the future.
