Priscilla is Finally Coming to Streaming: Everything You Need to Know

Despite closing the chapter on their marriage nearly 50 years ago, the enigmatic love story of Elvis and Priscilla Presley has returned to the limelight in Sofia Coppola’s newest blockbuster biopic Priscilla. 

With a cast list combining Australia’s newest Hollywood heartthrob Jacob Elordi as Elvis and Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla, fans have flocked to their nearest cinema to revel in the story of one of music’s most high-profile romances through the eyes of the woman who knew ‘The King’ like no other.

Now, over three months since the film first made its cinematic debut, fans are eager to relive the experience at home.

What is Priscilla about? 

Based on Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, Priscilla offers a rare and intimate look at the evolution of Priscilla’s relationship with husband Elvis Presley from their early courtship to the final days of their married life. 

The film, directed by Sofia Coppola, was made in partnership with Priscilla Presley who served as the film’s executive producer. With her guidance, Priscilla explores the real-life challenges faced by the young couple throughout Elvis’ rise to astronomical fame.

Who is the cast of Priscilla? 

Leading the film as Elvis and Priscilla Presley are Euphoria star Jacob Elordi and Pacific Rim Uprising’s Cailee Spaeny. 

Joining Jacob and Cailee is Fargo star Ari Cohen and Succession’s Dagmara Dominczyk as Priscilla’s parents, Captain Beaulieu and Ann Beaulieu. 

When does Priscilla come out in Australia? 

After many months of waiting, Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla debuted in Australia on January 18, 2024. 

The film was first released in September 2024 at the Venice Film Festival before debuting in the United States on October 27, 2023.

Where to watch Priscilla

For fans in the Northern Hemisphere eager to immerse themselves in one of music’s most high-profile romances, we have good news! Priscilla will be available to stream at home in the United States on February 23, 2024, through Max, and through Mubi in the United Kingdom from March 1, 2024. 

For Australian fans, we sadly have not yet received any confirmation of the Australian streaming release date, however, based on Max’s previous Australian partnerships, we can anticipate that Priscilla will likely be available to stream in Australia via BINGE. 

While the timeline of the digital Australian release has yet to be confirmed, pre-orders for the Priscilla Blu-Ray and DVD on JB HI-FI currently list Priscilla’s Australian release date as March 27, 2024, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as soon as any more information becomes available.
