The gift of a ring is a time-honoured tradition in the Bachie-verse, with the Bachelor always handing his winner a ‘promise ring’ when he announces his choice, and the winner of The Bachelorette usually gifting her a ring once she’s made her choice.
From Snezana Markoski’s iconic ‘cheezel’ ring, through to the rings auctioned off for charity when the Honey Badger Nick Cummins famously chose no one, the rings are always a hot topic of discussion.
Larsen Jewellery has been the partner on The Bachelor side of things for many years now, and this year they’ve joined The Bachelorette as well, and were behind the rings that Brooke and Darvid very sweetly exchanged at last night’s finale.
Here’s everything you need to know about their brand-new bling.
Brooke chose Darvid as her partner in a heart-warming moment, telling him she loved him.
“You came in here and granted me three wishes and I still have one left. Darvid, will you make me the happiest girl?” she asked him.
As a token of her love, she gave him a Mokume Alpine ring by Larsen, which is technically a wedding band.
Crafted using an ancient Japanese metalwork technique called Mokume Gane, the ring features combinations of gold and silver alloys layered together to create a final unique design.
On the Larsen website, it’s listed as costing $2,330, but prices vary according to size and the material used to create it.
Brooke slipped it onto Darvid’s right index finger, so we’re pretty sure it’s not being treated as an actual wedding band, but it still makes for beautiful gesture.
Holding up Bachelorette tradition, Darvid also had a ring ready for Brooke.
The Amore (Four Claw) ring from Larsen is an engagement ring, following along the wedding-themed exchange.
It features a solitaire diamond in the centre, which is surrounded by a cluster of diamonds on the shoulders of the band.
The sparkler given to Brooke cost an estimated $17,700, but variations of the ring can be bought from Larsen beginning at $3,980, and again depends on the materials used, the ring size, and the size of the central diamond.
Darvid popped it on her ring finger, but it was on her right hand, so no engagement rumours are swirling just yet.
However, we’re so obsessed with this wholesome pair that we’re on the edge of our seats anyway, hoping to learn more about their relationship ASAP!
Today, they reaffirmed their love in a video for The Bachelorette‘s Instagram, with Brooke saying with a laugh: “we’re kind of grossly in love, it’s disgusting, I hate myself for it”.
Congrats again to Brooke and Darvid!
