The Bachelorette’s Sophie Monk is going to Mexico so she doesn’t spoil the show

The Bachelorette producers and Sophie Monk are going to huge lengths to make sure the season finale isn’t ruined by having the leading lady travel to Mexico.

In a first for both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, Monk, 37, has confirmed to Confidential that she is heading overseas so she isn’t spotted with her new boyfriend.

The actress shared the news Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny earlier this month, explaining that she has ‘no will power’ and will ‘mess it all up’ for viewers.

“Hence the reason I’m leaving the country. I break all the rules, I can’t do rules,” she said.

“I will definitely try to see him and mess it all up for everyone. So I have to remove myself, I know I’ve got no will power so I don’t weaken I’m going overseas.”

It has been speculated that Monk has found love with 44-year-old Stu Laundy, who is yet to appear on the series.

The son of pub owner Arthur Laundy and heir to approximately $500 million family fortune will come into The Bachelorette as an intruder.
