This season of Home and Away has reached one if its most climactic points as a major shooting storyline is on the horizon, sending fans spiralling over which cast member will be put to rest. If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest drama plaguing Summer Bay, all you need to know is a crime wave has well and truly taken over, with everything from break-ins to robberies foreshadowing a more ominous crime to come.
While some fans have been calling for “some happiness” in the show as characters like Mack and Levi have had a heartbreaking couple of episodes with Mack’s recent pregnancy loss, others are predicting who exactly will be shot, as well as what the teased new cast member will offer the series.
New cast teased after ‘shock’ shooting
Alongside obsessing over this shock (but very Home and Away) story arc, fans are eager for the introduction of new cast members on the show.
This time, the series has been teasing a new doctor who’s entrance to Summer Bay is set to coincide with the shooting.
The new doctor Amelia Carlisle, played by the one and only Nicole da Silva (known for starring in One Night on Netflix), will enter the show right in the middle of the action, racing against the clock to save a life and giving fans even more of a reason to tune in this season.
While past shooting storylines on Home and Away have seen characters survive and recover from the events, it looks like this event could be fatal, and it’s set to send shockwaves through the characters and relationships of Summer Bay.
However, before fans deal with the impending consequences, they’ve also been theorising on exactly who gets shot, and who pulls the trigger.
The story may be leading viewers in one direction, but if there’s anything we know about Home and Away, it’s to expect the unexpected.
Home and Away fans undecided over who gets shot
While Channel 7 may have teased that Lacey is the character who may be in danger after an almost face-off with the intruder at the Summer Bay Fit gym, fans have other ideas.
Many viewers have been debating in comment threads about who they believe is going to be shot, with some putting forward Malí (played by Kyle Shilling) after there were rumours of him leaving the show.
However, this was quickly rebutted from fans who saw articles citing that he “is still filming” and was spotted “filming last week.”
However, the other top two contenders seem to be Abigail and David.
“I thought Abigail was going to be shot,” one fan suggested online. “But now it might be David?”
“It’s Abby,” another fan quipped in reply. “The new cop shoots her.”
When it comes to the culprit, many are pointing at “the burglar”, however, it’s unclear.
All we know for sure is that we’re going to have to tune in to Channel 7 or 7plus for the coming episodes if we want to find out.
