Insiders think Lee Lin Chin “would be a natural” at The Project

Everybody has been holding their breath, waiting for Lee Lin Chin’s next move after she called it a day from SBS.

And now insiders share that Network Ten and Channel Seven both want her.

The newsreader’s spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential on Monday, “She’s completely booked up and is trying lighten her workload a bit.”

After close to four decades at the newsdesk, Chin is enjoying a moment before she enters the rat race again. And everyone wants her.

“She was totally the face of SBS and they liked to keep her to themselves,” an insider shared, adding, “Since her popularity rose, there was an increased demand for a range of other projects. She can now work with whoever she wants.”

There have been murmurs that Chin is a shoe in for The Project.

Her popularity with the younger demographic would be something Ten would be keen to capitalise on.”

For her part, Chin has done little quiten the chatter, admitting she’d be “happy” to move to Ten.

I’d like to point out that, once a newsreader, always a newsreader,’ she said. “I would be very happy to read the news on a casual basis in the future if someone were willing to have me… I’m sure I could give ten a ratings boost.”
