MasterChef Australia 2019: Who is Larissa Takchi?

Food is in her DNA!

Good things come in small packages, a la Larissa Takchi.

The 22-year-old Sydneysider packs some punch in the MasterChef Australia kitchen and has made her one to watch in 2019.

“Weekends with her family have always revolved around food,” her MasterChef bio reads.

“With her dad one of nine children, Larissa and her three siblings spent their Sundays with all her cousins, enjoying big lunches and dinners. Everyone would bring plates of food, and her fondest memories are of her aunts in the kitchen preparing plates.”

And what’s more, Larissa – or Larry as she’s more affectionately known – is already well-versed in working in a restaurant.

She manages her mother’s eatery between university lectures.

But she insists her chef mum hasn’t had a big hand in her daughter’s culinary prowess – Larissa says she’s mostly self-taught!

Away from MasterChef, uni and her mum’s restaurant, Larissa loves spending time with her boyfriend-of-six-years, Luke.
