Just days after he dished the dirt on his alleged ‘abusive’ relationship with Tara Pavlovic, Sam Cochrane has reportedly gone into hiding.
According to a family friend of the Cochrane family, the 34-year-old has ‘gone away’ and is currently ‘uncontactable.’
‘Sam has gone away and I can’t even reach him right now,’ the friend says.
‘Something like this has highlighted domestic violence for men and I’m furious Tara hasn’t been arrested after admitting to the assault.
‘Domestic violence towards men is something most people don’t talk about but if it were the other way around it would be a different story.’
News of Sam’s disappearance comes as details about his bitter split from fellow Bachelor In Paradise contestant Tara continues to emerge.
This week, Sam claimed that Tara was both verbally and physically abusive towards him during the course of their relationship.
‘She punched me square in the face, twice,’ Sam claimed, further alleging the blonde 28-year-old from the Gold Coast was often ‘drunk’ and also bit him after a night out.
Tara then came back hard, taking to Instagram to explain her side of the story.
She did admit to biting Sam, she was also quick to defend her actions.
‘There are two sides to every story,’ she wrote.
‘I was in an emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist. Only someone who has been through that can relate to how f****** bad it is, and how you can be pushed over the edge.’
While the he-said-she-said continues, those close to Sam are now concerned for the voiceover artist’s welfare.
‘It has been so stressful watching him go through this,’ the family friend says. ‘It’s making everyone sick.’
