Christine Baranski will reprise her role as lawyer Diane Lockhart in a spin-off from The Good Wife, CBS has confirmed.
As yet the new series is untitled, but the network did confirm the drama would also star Cush Jumbo as Lucca Quinn.
Since airing in 2009, The Good Wife starring Julianna Margulies and Chris North has been met with critical and commercial success.

Julianna picked up an Emmy for her portrayal of spurned wife, Alicia Florrick in 2014.
No word on whether or not she or other cast members will guest star on the show.
The spin-off series will be set one year after the final episode of the Good Wife and will air on CBS’s streaming channel, CBS All Access. It is the second original series written directly for the platform.
Baranski is a stage and screen veteran previously starring as Leonard’s mother, psychologist Dr. Beverly Hofstadter on the Big Bang Theory and playing second fiddle to Meryl Streep in the box office smash-hit Mamma Mia!
