Daughter of Mossimo Giannulli and Lori Loughlin (the endearing mother figure on the Netflix show Full House who was arrested last week as a result of the FBI’s “varsity blues” investigation) has subsequently lost major endorsement deals with two of the biggest global beauty brands.

The 19-year-old beauty vlogger who has over 1 million followers on Instagram and was enrolled in USC (the University of Southern California) has been dumped by both Sephora and TRESemmé following the college admissions bribery scandal.

Brands have taken swift action to prove to their consumers they will not align with people who use their clout unethically.

In January, Olivia posted the below image with a dewy makeup look, captioned “the olivia jade x sephora collection palette is officially being RESTOCKED tomorrow (1/18) at 12pm EST!!! sooo excited for you to get your hands on these highlighters if you missed it the first time around… they are unreal. link in my bio to purchase #ad#sephoracollection

However, the Sephora site now opens the Olivia x Sephora link to a “0 Product results: “productnnotcarried” page.

Savage. Or, is it? Nepotism has consequences ladies.

Sephora released an official statement about ending the brand partnership saying, “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,”

According to PEOPLE.com, Jade seemed nonchalant about attending school as she was more focused on being a beauty You Tuber. The article notes, ‘In May 2018, while documenting her last day in high school, the social influencer revealed that attending class hadn’t been a top priority for her.’

“I’m, like, excited to go… do the school prank,” she said. “But I’m also literally never at school that I think my class doesn’t even — and maybe they forget I go there!”

Instagram users have made their feelings about the Sephora sponsored posts on Olivia’s social media known. The below image which was dated back to September 2018 had comments such as,  “stop the sponsor”, @sephora please cut ties with this fraud or all is loyal customers will be forced to cut ties with you” and @sephora@scbetter drop this college fraud.

The young IG community were understandably upset as admittance into ivy-league colleges in the U.S is extremely difficult so it’s no surprise that this news was not well-received by fans.

Both Olivia-Jade and her sister Isabella have since decided to withdraw from the University of Southern California where they were attending.
