17 year old Kaia Gerber announced as the new face of YSL Beauty

Cindy Crawford's model-of-the-moment daughter lands huge beauty deal

This week, premium beauty brand YSL Beauté announced that daughter of 1990’s supermodel Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber will be their new Global Makeup Ambassador

For any model trying to break into the international fashion and modelling industry, (even if you are celebrity offspring) landing a major beauty deal with one of the most top-end and luxurious beauty brands in the world, is not something that should be glossed over.

General Manager of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Stephan Bezy made a statement on the decision saying “Kaia is a blossoming talent with a unique sense of style and a stunning beauty,” he goes further to say “’The perfect embodiment of her generations desire for authenticity and edginess, as a muse and ambassador she will convey these values which entirely resonate with what YSL Beauté stands for.”

While the model-of-the-moment herself who has almost 4 million followers on Instagram was quoted as saying “To be the new face of YSL Beauté is an opportunity to write a new story full of fun, color and makeup” and “I love the DNA of a brand that is so subversive while being so luxurious and cool!

Kaia has quickly earned her fashion stripes as she has already featured in campaigns for brands like Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein and Chanel as well as walking international runways including for YSL. She was also previously aligned with Marc Jacobs beauty.

Her first campaign drops in January 2019 and as part of her new beauty commitments with the brand she will star in campaigns for YSL’s Rouge Volupté Shine lipsticks, Touche Éclat line, and Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils.
