There’s something about a new look that makes you feel refreshed and ready to take on the world.
WATCH: MasterChef editing fail shows Melissa Leong in two places at once
And that sense is something Melissa Leong is no doubt feeling first hand after embarking on a makeover that has left her followers delighted.
Debuting her new lighter tresses on Instagram, the MasterChef judge was worlds away from her traditional darker look.
“New hair, who dis?” Melissa captioned the snap. “A waaaaay overdue salon session with my girl @hairbyjasminekara. 💇♀”
Friends and fans alike were thrilled by the transformation, rushing to the comments section to praise the reality TV star.
“Looking fab you!!!! 😘” wrote one person, while others chimed in with “Beautiful”, “suits you!” and “Glowingggg 💘💘💘”
The new look comes just a month after Melissa announced her split from husband Joe Jones following three years of marriage.
In December, Melissa shared the devastating news via Instagram on Sunday, writing that the “time had come” for the pair to part ways.
“It has brought us such happiness to walk together, but the time has come for Joe and I to part ways and walk on, apart,” she captioned a beautiful black-and-white snap of the pair on their wedding day.
“We ask for your kindness and consideration for our privacy, we will not be making any further comment as our private lives have, and will always remain exactly that. We wish you peace at the end of such a challenging year for all.”
It’s hasn’t been all bad for Melissa in 2020 however as her career continues to rise thanks to her success on screen as one of MasterChef’s newest judges, a role she holds alongside Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo.
In November she was also WHO’s cover star on our famous Sexiest People issue and spoke about what the word “sexy” means to her.
“Sexy is about everything someone brings to who they are. I think individuality is sexy,” she said.
“To me, also, I think sexy is a combination of intelligence; it’s a unique perspective on life and it’s being bold enough to hold on to your convictions and live life on your terms.
“I think sexy is to be fearless and real. When you have nothing to hide and you’re just purely and unapologetically yourself, that’s inspirational – and sexy.”
