Hung Vanngo is the new king of celebrity makeup. His signature “glow” and gorgeous eye-make up on some of the most beautiful and famous women in the world has now given him huge Instagram fame.
Hung’s massive social media rise is a testament to his incredible talent with some of his most popular makeup looks (and IG posts) seen on the likes of Selena Gomez, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel (just to name a few. He has become so in-demand with celebrities that he has actually dedicated a different highlight video for each celeb client on his Instagram.
Vanngo came from humble beginnings as he moved to America from Vietnam with his brother and sister when he was only a child and all three slept on the floor of a refugee camp for three years.
Having always had a love of fashion magazines, Hung worked his butt off often being rejected when he first moved to New York, however his supreme talent was soon recognised and he rose to makeup fame quite quickly.
He has even been nicknamed by hairstylist Mark Townsend as “Hun Van Glow”
Hung was quoted in a recent interview giving his tip on a smokey eye that he has also created on Selena Gomes saying “I can do the whole look with Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Highliner in (Brown) smudging it out like a shadow over the eye. It’s not a normal flat brown eyeliner, it’s very warm so it pops on the eye. But I usually never stick to one texture. Incorporating matte, shimmer and metallic helps create dimension and tricks the eye so it doesn’t look flat.”
